Jason Wu launched his eponymous line in 2006 – he first gained notoriety when Vogue Editor Anna Wintour called him a promising new talent. Jason became a household name when First Lady Michelle Obama wore a white chiffon dress designed by Jason for the Presidential Inauguration Ball.
Born in Taiwan, Wu got his fashion start as the creative director for a line of designer dolls called ‘Fashion Royalty’, sold at F.A.O Schwartz.
