Year after year, two jewelers are selected by women around the world as their favorites: Harry Winston and Tiffany & Co. These iconic jewelers have famous histories that add to their allure, but it’s the combination of beautiful design and luxury style that attract consumers to these brands.
Harry Winston is most famous for the Hope Diamond. Discovered in India in the 1600s, this 45.52-carat blue diamond was owned by Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette, before being purchased by Harry Winston in 1949 from the estate of Evalyn Walsh McLean.
Most of us associate the classic 1961 Audrey Hepburn movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s with the flagship store of Tiffany & Co., located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in Manhattan. Key scenes from this movie were filmed at the Fifth Avenue store.
You can spend a lot at these stores, but you can also find affordable luxury. Below are two examples that won’t totally break the bank.
